Fortrose House

Recladding, repair, and improvement works to existing 9 storey residential building

The project involved substantial renovation & improvement works to a 1960’s 9 storey housing block in the Partick area of Glasgow. The building consists of 48 maisonette & 5 single bedroom flats. An important aspect of the brief was to improve the thermal performance of the building. In order to achieve this, new efficient central heating systems were installed within the properties, along with replacement windows & innovative enclosed balconies.

Central to the project, was the full re-cladding of the building in high specification insulated render & zinc panels. The collective result of the works has enabled the tenants to enjoy a thermally efficient, comfortable home, whilst in tandem improving the aesthetical impact of the building on the surrounding environment.
