Corsehillbank Street

2 Storey rear extension to private dwelling

To accommodate a growing family, the project aimed to maximise the space provided within a traditional 2 storey end terraced cottage. An existing single storey kitchen annex was demolished to make way for a new open plan kitchen, dining and living area, alongside a ground floor W.C. and utility area. A remodelling of the 1st floor provided a further master bedroom suite with en-suite and walk in wardrobe.

A traditional pallet of materials was utilised including slate and brickwork to match the existing dwelling. Large bi-fold doors to the open plan kitchen / dining area combined with the raised ceiling in the area created a space flooded with light, able to be opened to the garden.
