Cordale Housing Association

New office accommodation for Cordale Housing Association

A key objective of the development was to introduce a more contemporary building to the street vista and in turn, create a landmark for the Association within Renton. The massing of the new offices has been designed to continue the established grid pattern of the surrounding buildings.

Although set back slightly from the street, the design creates a relationship with the main thoroughfare and establishes a visual link as local people travel up and down Main Street. The front elevation is broken into three distinct elements through the use of varying materials. By breaking up the vertical elements the façade is softened and better integrates the building within its context.
